ABOUT

MISSION, VISION, AND HISTORY
Mission Statement:
Another Chance for Academic Excellence, LLC's mission is to promote the value and worth of life-long learning in a safe and stimulating environment. Our mission is to help instill positive self-esteem in the learners who enter, and help them improve the quality of their lives via two factors: 1. Knowledge of Morals and Values and 2. Knowledge of Self. Our mission acknowledges that through these two factors we can accomplish anything, including improving the quality of academic performance, and thus helping others to empower their lives.”
Vision Statement:
"We envision a society where learning is based on personal desire, interest, experience, and a honest work ethic. We do not believe that age, color, or wealth, should be an obstacle or deterrent to learning or striving for perfection. We are Another Chance for Academic Excellence.”
History:
This service is built on the shoulders of three generations of African-American educators and teachers, grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters, and aunts: in particular Ophelia Brinson, Adell Robinson Spivey, and Louise Spivey Brinson. Even though Louise S. Brinson was the only formal educator of the three, Ophelia Brinson and Adell R. Spivey had the wisdom of our forefathers and foremothers which guided them in the sage instruction and tutelage of their families. They indoctrinated their children and grandchildren with their old fashioned Christian values and sensibilities, self-esteem, and self-discipline.
Louise S. Brinson was a K-9 teacher for over 32 years, public and private schools. She gave gentle encouragement as she gave firm discipline of knowledge and skills to last a life-time. She was a master teacher and educator who taught with a passion and gave everyone another chance. Her classroom motto was "Excellence is Our Goal!" Owner, Director Benise B. Brinson-Provitt is the child of Mr. Larry Brinson and Mrs. Louise S. Brinson and the grandchild of Mrs. Adell R. Spivey and Mrs. Ophelia Brinson. She is also the wife of Mr. William Todd Provitt.

Director Brinson-Provitt has a BS in English from Troy State University Montgomery (Magna Cum Laude), where she minored in Psychology and Sociology. She has a MA in Secondary Education from Auburn University Montgomery with a concentration in English Language Arts. She earned her Child Care Provider Certification from the Family Guidance Center of Alabama, Inc. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. Yes, she has a current Alabama State Secondary Education, English, Class A, and she has been teaching in public and private schools for over 23 years.
This company was developed because of the growing need of predominantly minority students for reasonably priced, capable, enthusiastic, and professional instruction and care (outside of a school setting). It was created to help children who are behind, catch up. Another Chance for Academic Excellence was created to give others another chance.
